A message from one of ACG's Ukrainian Members

With the current situation between Ukraine and Russia, Phil Lewis the Director General of the Anti-Counterfeiting Group (ACG), wrote to one of our key members, resident in Ukraine. 

Pakharenko & Partners are a long standing an Associate Member of ACG and highly valued friends: Phil wrote

"Dear Antonina,

Please accept the thoughts and prayers from all at ACG, for you, your family and all innocent Ukrainian people affected by this tragic and horrific attack on your sovereignty and lives.

The ACG Board of Directors and our members all hope that this heart-breaking tragedy can be resolved as soon as possible.

In the meantime, ACG applauds your bravery in the resolute defence of democracy and sends you our love, support and thoughts.

We wish you everything you wish yourself' during this dreadful time.

Since the date of sending the letter, the ACG have received a response from Antonina Pakharenko-Anderson, the founder and a Managing Director at Pakharenko & Partners. Antonina is also the wife of John Anderson, the Chair of the Global Anti-Counterfeiting Network who previously held the DG post at ACG.

Dear Phil,

Thank you very much for your words of support. Until the very day of the invasion we still hoped that reason would rule and peace would be kept, but it turned out to be otherwise and our country is experiencing unprecedented aggression from Russia.

All my family and colleagues are safe and we try to remain operational to the extent possible.

We all hope this terrible situation will resolve soon and we will return to normal peaceful life.
