Today, Wednesday 5 July marks British IP day. A day to celebrate the immense contribution intellectual property (IP) makes to the UK economy and society. Often overlooked IP is in fact central to most industries and encourages innovation and creativity.

British IP Day is a great time to engage with MPs and make your voice heard. The Alliance for IP is encouraging people to talk to their MP about why their industry and creativity matters and how MPs can support IP in the future.
“It’s vital that MPs from across the political spectrum understand the importance of intellectual property and how it drives economic growth and jobs in every constituency across the country. I encourage anyone with an interest in the promotion and protection of IP to come and visit their MP on the 5th July to make their case” commented Peter Wishart MP, Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Intellectual Property.
